Some sense to to Mcfarlane doing Wallace and Grommit

Out of the blue during ToyFest, they listed them doing a 3 and 6 inch lines for Wallace and Grommit - a couple of characters that not many people outside of the UK would know.

Got to finally watch Shark Tale on DVD today - and there was a preview section of things coming to Dreamworks.

It seems Aardman and Dreamworks is working on a full length film with Wallace and Grommit for an October 2005 release.

So it comes down to it looking like McFarlane snagging another movie property line of figures. Great way for them to expand who buys from them!

I thought this was discussed after Toyfair... someone already mentioned the movie thing in some thread somewhere.
